A vanishing edge set to the treeline
Vanishing edge and spa- Location

- Build type
- Vanishing edge and spa
- Scope
- Custom pool design and build, Spas and water features
The property had the one thing you cannot add to a backyard: a clear run of Hill Country to the west. Everything else followed from protecting that view.
The pool was set so its far edge reads as the end of the ground rather than the start of a wall, with the water spilling into a catch basin below and pumping back up. Two stone pedestals carry small spouts at the far corners, which keeps some movement and sound in the water without breaking the line of the edge.
The spa is raised and finished in a dark glass mosaic so it reads as a separate object against the pale deck, and it spills into the main body of the pool. Decking is kept wide and plain on purpose, so nothing competes with the view at eye level.
